R.I.P. XML in Spring Applications

The days of writing xml into your spring application are gone!

In previous years I remember including web.xml, dispather-servlet.xml and application-context.xml. Thanks to Javax servlets 3 , Java 7 and Spring 4 you can create an entire web application with java classes with the correct annotations.

First create a config folder e.g. com.test.config . Here we need to put the application context which defines a configuration class. A properties file and bean are added for demonstration purposes.
